What online platform do you use for teaching classes?
Our preferred online tool for classes is Zoom but we also use Skype with some students. If neither of these work for you and you would like to use another platform, we're happy to discuss and we'll do our best to accommodate what you are comfortable with.
How does the trial class work?
We offer one 60-minute online trial class per person. For you, the purpose of the trial class is to get an idea of how our class time is structured and a sense of how well we will work together. On our end, we use the trial class to complete an initial assessment of your Spanish level. This helps us plan future classes should you choose to continue.
How much homework should I expect?
Every student is different. We customize homework based on your needs, the amount of time that you have, and how fast you want to improve your Spanish. Some students complete 30 minutes of homework per week, while others do two or three hours. We will discuss homework with you to make sure that we meet your needs without adding undue stress to your learning journey.
How do I pay for classes?
We accept payment via WorldRemit and Xoom, both of which are safe, reliable ways to send money worldwide.
Do you teach Spanish from Spain or from Latin America?
Both! Although there are differences in dialects, expressions and accents worldwide, much of the base grammar is consistent. We will customize your homework so the content is relevant for you.
How many classes should I take per week?
We recommend two classes per week, but this can be customized based on the time you have available and how quickly you want to learn. Some students take classes once per week, others take two or three classes per week. Occasionally, students preparing for a trip or business meeting take classes five days a week for a short time. There is no minimum class requirement and we encourage you to learn at your own pace.
How long are classes?
Classes are 60 minutes in length. If you'd like longer sessions it's possible to book two classes back to back.
What days/hours do you work?
We work Monday to Friday and can accommodate different hours per day as we work with students worldwide in a variety of timezones. We have the flexibility to work together to find class times that will work for us both.
